Definition
The certifying board's binding standards of professional conduct. Behavior analysts and assistant analysts follow the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts, which is organized around four core principles and six sections of standards; technicians follow the RBT Ethics Code (2.0), organized in three sections. Both took effect on 1 January 2022, both are enforced through a complaint process, and both are linked from this app rather than reproduced in it.

Example
A technician checks the RBT code before accepting a gift from a client's family, and asks their supervisor.
Not ethics code
An employer's dress code. Company policies matter, but they are not the certification ethics code.
